Star Trek Photo Manipulations

thats lovely Irene.

Most of us go for the head transplant, always appreciate the different use as in this case,

As for her right arm, looks fine to me , maybe a little wider in the upper arm needed but overall a classy job and the addition of shadows a nice touch too.

The internment pic looks great, the clothing has that bajoran type color that kira and the monks wear.

The shadows on that one were a bear, let me tell you. I do respect artists that do head swaps, because they're not as easy as they look. But I feel like a lot of manippers use the same four uniform images, so I try to avoid it. Nowadays, more and more artists are using Rabittooth's work for their headswaps, or a few scattered high quality cosplay shots. The former makes me chafe a bit, because a lot of times people get credit for doing more than they've done. Like, it's one thing if someone takes a small element, like a section of uniform yoke, or a comm badge or whatever.

</end rant>

Anyhow, here's another:

Anne Hathaway as an Orion Starfleet Officer. I'm sure that uniform is a SMIDGE altered from the standard...

I like the skirt variant for the FC era uniforms.

One criticism, though... and it's the same as on the Gillian Anderson pic. You don't seem to understand how shoulders attach to torsos. There's no reason why your orion version of her right arm should be different from the right arm on the untouched image.

I'll take a look at the .psds and maybe make a few alterations. In both manips, the garment the actress was wearing was over-sized, and I tried to "tuck" it in as best as I could, because I feel that with replicators, you could probably make a perfectly skintight uniform if you really want to. The baggy look (even though it's seen on a lot of canon characters like Bashir and O'Brien) really irritates me. I tend to make my uniforms very slimly tailored.

Part of the issue, I think, is that I'm extremely petite IRL. I hate looking like a little kid in grown up's clothes. I also get blazers and the like tailored to slim arm holes, which makes the bottom of the "armpit" area rather high.

Thanks for your feedback!

Please don't revive a thread that is older than a year and hasn't had a post in almost three years just to say “Nice work”. On top of that, @IreneAdler doesn't seem to be active on the board anymore, unfortunately.

Bye bye, thread! :)
