I've been following this production for many months and it looks very promising. The premiere of the first episode "Cloak and Dagger" is on May 2nd at their website http://stphoenix.com. For those in the Seattle area there is several venues where you can catch the premiere before the rest of us.
The series takes place in 2422, 42 years after Star Trek Nemesis, one year into the maiden voyage of the starship phoenix. The series follows Captain Bryce Avari and his crew and will focus on exploration and adventure. From the trailer and vignettes this fan series looks to have very nice production values and costumes.
I was never a big "fan film" guy, but with this new series coming up and Phase II's direction ever since World Enough and Time, there is some viable entries into the Star Trek Expanded Universe for those who miss the adventures in the prime universe.
