Is the Battle Bridge on TNG a redress of the I through III movie bridge?
Of course. The wooden framework structure that held up that bridge/corridor set was still labelled with identification marks for "Star Trek: Phase II" when they pulled the sets apart after "Voyager" ended. It had evidence of wood rot. Those frames aren't expected to stay up beyond a few years.

As far as I know, nothing but this, the Engineering test footage and some make-up test shots were filmed.
Interesting piece, thank you. And it's comforting to know that in the late 23rd century they'll still be using the Commodore PET.Ottens said:

I know "The Child" and "Devil's Due" were adaptations of concepts originally from Phase II. Any others?
"In Thy Image" became ST: TMP.

Kind of sad considering how many rejected scripts Roddenberry had to churn out before they eventually redressed an old TOS episode...

It was mainly a redress of "Robot's Return", Gene's "Genesis II" script (seemingly inspired by a concept in "The Changeling") that Alan Dean Foster turned into a story for Harold Livingston to turn into "In Thy Image".

Mostly DS9 ripped off old movies.
Th eproblem was, the Paramout network was doomed, and it's probably safe to say part of what precipitated TMP was that Paramount knew their 4th network was DOA, and they figured, what with Star Wars making the bucks, they could make some bank on this project they'd almost gotten going, but had no venue for.ChuckPR said:
It's really a shame there wasn't a really good, well fleshed out set of scripts early during the Phase II project.
If there had been the series might have launched before the series-movie Paramount indecision ping pong game began.
