I guess we'll finally get some hard information on Picard and Lower Decks.

I guess I didn't need that etc in the title, it's only those 3 shows.

Also props and costumes at an art exhibit, same place they've done the Discovery one the last 2 years.

Which is open to all BTW not just Comic-Con guests, so if anyone here lives in the San Diego area, hurray!

what interests me about the announcement is the branding:

no brainer, but a totally appropriate way to present, refer to the franchise in its current form.

Very polished, and appropriate to encompass the new and expanded universe(s).

It still bugs me more than the two earliest shows with their smaller budgets (adj. for inflation) did a better job at building the universe, as later entries (DS9 onward) did occasionally muck things up. Such as Jake wanting out of nowhere to buy a baseball card that should look four centuries' faded if nothing else, don't ask where the baseball card came from because it's clearly not from a Federated planet since the Federation doesn't use currency... that scene understandably heckles TNG's claim to fame from "The Neutral Zone" but surprisingly poorly. The fact they effectively joke about "minus the chewing gum" didn't help...

But there's no reason that Picard's sequel, Lower Decks, or Section 31 won't be hits while keeping true to the lore at the heart of the universe. With luck their premieres will be on broadcast CBS or YouTube as well.
