star trek original series monopoly question (extra figures?)

cschmidt

Cadet
Newbie
hey i don't know who to ask this so searched for trek forums and came here. may be no one knows but thought i'd ask.

on ebay i saw auction for two extra tokens for this game. (captain pike and his number one) but i've never heard of them. before i consider bidding on it, i wonder if it's legit or not. anyone know?

thx

Re: star trek original series monopoly question (extra figur

Both the original series and the TNG sets had special extra players you could mail away for, with a coupon inside the box, and 10 bucks or so. Each was for a limited time, and Pike and Number One were the only two available for the original version.

For the next gen version, the extras were Tasha Yar, Guinan, O'Brien, and ... I think Pulaski?

Yep, they were available as mail away extras.

The pewter tokens were really just recasts of the Franklin Mint pewter tokens.

Just the first three. My mom has the TNG version but never got around to ordering the extra pieces. :(

No, there are definitely four bonus TNG tokens, and Pulaski was the fourth. I got my penpal to order them for me.

And yes, cschmidt, the TOS version did come with a coupon to get two bonus figures: and they were Pike and Number One. They are great!

The projected DS9 and VOY games never materialized, IIRC. The plan was that all four Monopoly boards intersected at the wormhole (4 x "Go!"), so game players could traverse quadrants and time zones using the extended four-board rules.

ooohhh... pulaski... hold me back ;)

thx all and very interesting about the projected ds9 and voy boards -- i'd never hard about those either
