I spent a load of money on the Exchange last night and setup my PvP ship for Lex. I think I might try it out tonight. It's designed to drop the enemy's shields as quickly as possible and has torpedoes that will shoot through them too.

I'm going to do somethi9ng similar for Foxton at the next rank (when I can get the Akira).

Thanks... I'm way beyond a mk IV now. Already have a mk X and it's even green. but my phaser broadsides are still straining my plasma conduits. I think I need at least a mk XI and I wouldnt mind, if it was purple or at least blue. if there is a purple mk XI or a mk XII even it probably costs a gazillion credits on the exchange.

Here's what one poster whose been in closed beta for Season 3 had to say about sector space now:

You have two modes of viewing sector space:
Astrometrics enabled: you have very faint, tiny gridlines and rotating star-system models on thin lollipops - it's not nearly as colorful as before. Think of Pelia and Orellius Sector Space (but prettier - see below)

Astrometrics Disabled: No grids, no lollipops, and no rotating star systems. Stars appear as flickering objects that can grow in size to spheres on approach.

On top of these modes, you also have:
"Flavor text" and "System Briefings" that appear as tooltips when mousing over a system or when adjacent to one.

Starlines: Yes - warp speed finally has starlines too! These are the classic white lines - not the rainbow lines from Enterprise.

Wow, just wow! This is exactly what sector space should have looked like from the beginning! If only now they would tear down the sector borders and make it one big map.

Holy Shit! This looks absolutely beautiful and amazing. They even changed the speed indicators into the warp-streak-effect.

I suggested just that a few months ago.

Probably 3 to 4 weeks. Not everything coming in Season 3 is on Tribble for testing as yet; plus, what's on there right now has some bugs they need to squash.

The new Klingon patrols in Pi Cannis are great too.

I just tried mission replay, the episode "Past Imperfect" now has a TOS Type 1 Phaser as one of the rewards.
