Well crap, I think my graphics card isn't compatable with this game.

Yeah it does suck. I think you need a graphics card that's compatable to play blu rays for the game to work.
Though on the bright side at least I found out before buying the game and a subscription service for it so I didn't spend a but load of money for a game that doesn't work.
I have an ATI HD4850...no problems in the beta. (so far)
Hey if I have 30 out of date drivers does anyone think that might be why the game isn't working right.
Yes, it could very well be an important factor.
In any case it won't hurt updating graphics and sound card drivers at least and give it a try.
How old is your equipment anyway ?
Quick update I got the game to work right by updating my drivers.

You have to let us know which gpu you have and what kind of a hardware setup is it to begin with.
I am playing the game maxed out on my laptop with 9600m GT GDDR3 (which I overclocked to 9700m GT level because it's an identical card to begin with ... merely was factory downclocked).
Drivers might be the issue, but if you are using a program such as driver detective, my advice would be to get rid of it since it's unreliable to begin with, and simply search for recent drivers for your chipset and gpu from the manufacturers websites.

Hey where exactly in the Earth Spacedock do you go to customize you bridge officers?
Are you talking about customizing their appearance or their skills? If you are talking about their appearance you goto the Tailor (same place you customize your "captain" character). It is a Cardassian near Club 47 in the Requisitions area.
If you are talking about customizing their skill training then you can do that right next to the place where you can recruit more bridge officers. There is an guy there that will help you train them in the personnel area.

Of course. I already bought mine and my brother just got the lifetime subscription. this game is a LOT of fun.
