Did you visit Q?

Yep (he gave double points right?) Of course now I can make a Klingon Character as well.

If you haven't yet; you might want to wait until June (when the Season 4 Update is expected to go Live); as the KDF Homeworld will be getting a complete makeover; and they'll be adding a Klingon Academy and a new tutorial that will allow new players to create a KDF character right out of the gate (Ie you'll no longer need to level a Fed character to Level 6 to 'unlock' the ability to create a Klingon character.)

Or not, the choice is yours; but you'll probably have a better overall experience with a KDF character after Season 4 goes Live.

This might sound wrong, but one reason why I want to play as a Klingon is to blow up federation ships and eliminate federation away teams. Yes, I know that messed up but It would be good to have a break from the usual.

That's pretty much what I do with mine, so I don't see a problem.

Indeed, had my first close call in STO while in space, a deep space encounter with Klingons, Two other light cruisers and myself had made a little squad that worked well together. So we head to the next group. I didn't see that my two short term buddies had warped out, and the group was two big battlecrusers, fighters, and its raptor and Bird of prey escorts. I stood toe to toe for about 1 min, with me getting hammered. (Not to self, target the easy to kill stuff first, and get the firepower vs. you down as quick as you can.) and when My hull hit 50%, I knew I was in trouble. I tried to retreat, them following me, getting hammered. was down to 20% when suddenly some other players came to the rescue, I rebuilt my shields had my hull patched up, and returned to battle. Thus I had my first close call.

At what level do you become a Lt. Commander?

Also dropped off some basic stuff to the Fleet bank.

You get promoted when you reach level 11 an spent your skillpoints collected so far.
Then head to Admiral Quinn, talk to him about promotion, go to the shipyard and choose a new ship to your liking.
Then have fun with it :)

Thanks for the bank contributions. For the future though, don't put common white gear in there. Nobody will take that out and it will just use up valuable bank space. If you find uncommon or even rare stuff you won't need, that would be far more likely to benefit someone else. Instead of dropping whites sell them at a vendor and put the credits into the bank. Those will be needed to buy more bank slots (and possibly help with fleet base building much later on if they ever introduce stuff like that).

I assume permanent like the reman shields, Aegis and Borg gear is permanent.
Super special short time only reward will be the BO again.
makes me looking foward to what they have in store for the Devidian rerun.

Looks like we're going to be getting some nice, new, shiny things to play with when the Breen series replay kicks off (plus, 1 emblem per mission, VAs!)

are these just for the replay week or are they permanent?

The new sets are permanent rewards that'll stay even after the Replay Weekend ends. The only reward going back in the Freezer as it were, is the Breen Boff. ;)

Oh good so I don't have to level like crazy to get them.

I also wonder what goodies their adding for Cloaked Intentions.

Assume those are going to be level-appropriate, meaning if you get them as a lower-ranked player, they're basically useless once you level up, without going and doing the mission again and again?
