I just finished my download of Star Trek Online and the game was ready but I closed the launcher, then reopened it and it's downloading another 4 gig of files.

Its a huge game with 5 years worth of content, enough to fill 3 quadrants of the galaxy. My main STO folder is 11.2GB in size, and that's just for the live game. The test server is another 8GB worth of data.
Fyi, we prefer to keep all the STO-related posts in the three big threads pinned at the top of the forum.

You could have downloaded a "core" version, and now it's patching to the newest version. FYI, they patch the game every week on Thursdays.
