Hmm... well, after suffering through the hell of boredom that is "Uneasy Allies" a second time, I was quite relieved to have something to look forward with the new T6 assortment. Yeah, everyone on the STO forums are complaining about lack of escorts, and I totally understand, but I tend to tank anyhow, so cruisers are my thing. I'm definitely looking forward to the Romulan one; I'll have to decide between that and a Deihu for now, though. To say money is tight would be the understatement of the decade.

For Delta Recruitment, though, I'm gonna start at least three toons... I'm debating buying the Ferasans or Caitians... or Trill... for one of them. Are any of them really worth it? Anything that makes them more fun than just being a "regular" species?

The cats are pretty cool, because the can jump higher and farther than all other species and it is way easier to climb on things to get to places you should not be.
They have a vlear advantage in der Boss room of Infected ground where jumping over the plasma floor becomes ridiculously easy.
They also have a cool pounce attack that closed the distance to an enemy instantly dealing good melee damage.
It is a bit annoying when they stop in their tracks to throw up hairballs.

Trill have some cool passive traits, but no gameplay differences.
I did not know you have to buy Trill.
I thought non joined Trill were a standard free species and joined Trill Lifetime only.

As for the Joined Trill, it's a C-store purchase, a single unlock for both Fed and KDF. Would be a lot of fun if I could make a Fed-Rom-Trill, but I don't think that's possible lol.

I guess we can't accuse them of not listening all of the time now; that Andromeda setup is class. I guess it was good that I sat on my Zen and waited instead of upgrading my Galaxy and D'deridex-class starships to fleet and T5-U now.

I used all of my Zen to upgrade the loadouts on my Ambassador class. Damn.

I forgot this is also a bundle; three ship bundles are usually 6000 Zen, no? I have enough to get that if so, which would be great for my KDF Delta Recruit character I'm making tomorrow.

I switched over to my Galaxy class ship and applied the new updated skin. It really does look great!

Are you sure, that is the already updated version? I was under the impression the update would only come into the game today with the patch?

Im am fairly certain, that is the older inferior version. The deflector is a dead giveaway.

That is the old skin, just look at the differences in the windows around the saucer and the neck. also there are some additional lighting around the nacelles.

Have to say they've done a really nice job with the new skin

Has anyone else download the original version of STO that is on redshirt and given it a try yet?

I downloaded a 10gb update overnight and spent an hour on it this morning playing the tutorial missions. only just finished the stranded in space mission.

I was surprised how much voice over work that has disappeared from the game from these original missions. There was a fair bit of Nimoys vo that I've never heard before, also Its a shame that the Zachary Qunito tutorial vo was replaced with the default computer voice.

I'm hopping they will leave this version up for a while so I can play though to end game on it.

I plan to.

The old Fed Tutorial was pretty much the entire extend of VO in the entire game. There might be some bits in the Guadian of Forver mission, but I am not sure if those were already in game at launch.

The cross faction bundle is only 5000 Zen, and not 6000 like I expected, which is pretty sweet.

Wellp, I'm getting the Andromeda. I've spent quite a bit of time trying to get my current Fleet Galaxy up to 15k dps, so naturally the Andromeda will be getting all of her gear.
