I just pasted level 60 omg i have never done this well... :) I play sto everyday wow.. huh

And here they are. The USS Glencoe (NCC-1692-X). Apologies for the blurriness of some of them. I really have gotten to hate Apple products, particularly the iPhone. Its camera sucks in general, the illuminator hardly ever comes on when you want it to, and half the pictures I've taken since the upgrade come out as thumbnails instead of full-size. Steve Jobs is threatening God or Satan or Aliens or whoever to be brought back to fix his company I'm sure.

In any case, here are the photos. This is an absolutely beautiful model. The printer used was super-high resolution. I cannot detect scan lines anywhere. It was printed in color, which means no paint to smudge or smear. It is really quite detailed with texturing in all the right places, and the upper phaser canons seem sturdy enough that they don't look like they could easily break. It is a sturdy construction which was quite faithful to my original design. The ONLY complaint I have is no base came with it. This is understandable, as you can order up to four different sizes of the model, and many design combinations are so weird and non-standard that there's no way they could keep a stock of standard bases that could fit everything they print. So, I'll see if I can go through my collection of Eaglemoss ships to find something that might work and get a second one of them. I got the 7-incher, which is pretty much the same approximate size as the Eaglemoss Discovery line. Other than that one issue, it is HIGHLY recommended if you have a favorite STO ship that you want to have immortalized IRL.

I don't know how many people here know who EC Henry is, but he's the one who designed and modelled the new Fed ship that came out yesterday, the Earnhardt class.

Interesting. I made one when I was playing. Decided on installing the game on the new machine that I got recently. Might do something tonight, but doubt it.

Looks like they went with the six foot Galaxy-class shooting model this time round; I approve.

I can’t get zoomed in enough, and the angles wrong to check the shuttle bays, but it looks to me like their relationship with Eaglemoss has paid dividends and they have shared assets with each other.
(This also explains how Eaglemoss suddenly had assets for certain ships too.)

Mind you, STO would fix the shuttle bay.

The shuttle bays are correct size on the STO model.

Ah cool. I poked around and you can see the shuttle bay fix (there is supposed to be asymmetrical bays on the neck, Eaglemoss model isn’t...because it mirrors, same as some STO skins.)

None of the models are from eaglemoss. STO’s models are scratch built.

Though it’s entirely possible that they were given models for reference.

That’s um, pretty much what I said.
Eaglemoss recently released some STO ships.
Now, Eaglemoss has access to a lot of studio assets (that STO didn’t) and all the new models seem much closer to the Eaglemoss sculpts than the previous game sculpts and meshes do.

In the absence of any other info, it appeared to me that Eaglemoss shared those models, and STO converted and worked on them to update the game (again, look at the shuttle bay. You can practically see the join.) and that’s cool.

If an STO artist indeed worked them up, then kudos to them...I am just saying what it looks like.
