Star Trek Movies in Full Whack

Cheapjack

Fleet Captain
Does anyone here have the 'full whack' for their TV system?

I mean, 50" plasma, ten thousand pound surround system, eight speakers?

I have a 12" portable and stereo sound.

I would love to see all the movies like that.

I'll bring the beer.

I only set my system to full whack for porn.

Otherwise my system is what you might call a quarter whack, better than most but not the ultimate. It sounds and looks fine to me.

And in my world, an ultimate home theater would be a 120" screen and a projector, theater seats and great electronics, superbly set up.

I didn't think of that!

Hopefully, when number 11 comes out, some theatres will be showing all eleven movies again.

That's the best way to see them. Though they might be a bit faded and scratched by now.

I saw all four twenty years ago in a MASSIVE theatre with about twenty surround sound speakers. The screen was about as wide as a block of flats.

It was great.

That sounds like fun.

In Sydney, Australia, we had a cinema show TMP thru IV, plus the trailer for ST V, in the publicity lead-up to the release of ST V. A great way to spend a day. The last chance I had to see TMP on the big screen.

I have a numbered T-shirt for a Los Angeles screening, though, which was for TMP thru V. The event was called "Sit Long and Prosper".

You'd need a pretty big room for that.

A big room is always good, but one of my favorite theaters I set up was in a customer's basement that was only 18' wide and 25' deep. It had a 120" screen, the comfy chairs and great sound. He could still seat ten and had room for the obligatory popcorn maker.
