So I`ve gotten it in to my head that I need to get an Enterprise D commission plaque to hang on my wall. I`ve searched and searched, but the only ones I find for sale are made of resin and are not to scale. They are decent enough, but it`s not for my personal taste if I`m going to hang it up.

I`d love to get a Franklin Mint one, but they don`t seem to be available, nor made anymore. Does anybody have any idea where I could possibly get a nice replica, that is to scale?

ebay has 2 at the moment. One currently for $105 (framed in wood) & one around $10 (from Australia, so S&H is $20).

How about Amazon? I've gotten things from there I couldn't get from eBay and a lot of times cheaper.

Ya I`ve checked amazon, ebay, and a couple memorabilia sites. The only one I`ve found is the previously mentioned eaglemoss one on ebay, or through the ship model subscription. It is made out of resin, and is not to scale.

A well made replica seems to be the unicorn of memorabilia.

Isn't the Franklin Mint one to scale? I picked that one up on ebay for under a hundred bucks, but I've seen them go higher. Keep checking!

Ya the Franklin Mint one is to scale. That`d be the ideal one for me to get. Wow when did you buy it? I guess I`ll have to watch those sites like a hawk.

I`ve been on ebay, amazon, and various memorabilia sites. Believe me, I wouldn`t be asking this question on here if a quick google search would give me a link.

Some things are hard to find. Save a search in ebay and run it frequently.

I wanted a Ral Partha Draco Dracorum miniature, and it took quite a while for one to show up, but eventually I got a sealed one for less than some open ones had gone for.

Hmm, I bought mine 3-4 years ago. I also picked up the one for the Defiant, which is not acurrate to what they used on the show in that it's the same design and size as the 1701-D, frame and all. But it looks nice. I picked up the NX-01 plaque from Roddenberry.com, when they still had ship's plaques. Have unofficial resin cast repros of the 1701 and and 1701-E. I have the Franklin Mint version of the 1701, which is also in a frame and waaay too small. I would love to see affordable official releases of all Enterprise ship plaques. That the Eaglemoss plaque wasn't to scale was a bit of a disappointment, but even more disappointing was that their early promo pics of it showed the earlier seasons version of the plaque (Seasons 1-3?).

An Eaglemoss survey had questions about whether or not people would be interested in a ship's plaque line. I responded yes, but also commented about making them the correct size. Their version of the "D" plaque is way too thick too, but it is a nice piece for those who don't have that ship plaque already.

Anyone else be willing to pay for a customized plauqe? Something for their own personal "Ready Room"?

I`d definitely be in for making/filling out a survey or what have you to determine if there is a market for at least a limited release of ship commissioning plaques; if the mods on here and imdb possibly would allow for it.

With my Mod hat on, I can't see any objection to such a thread since it isn't a matter of you trying to sell some product. I would put it in General Trek since it should cover the ships from many shows.
