The last episode had the U.S.S. Cerritos get terraformed and nearly destroyed, but no worries, a quick clean-up and a bit of vacuuming and everything's in tip top shape again. I'd say those atmospheric shields held up pretty well too wouldn't you say? No matter, the halfway point brings us Boimler's girlfriend. What insecurities will her presence reveal?

When did 'Cousin It' join Starfleet?

I have two hopes here:

1. Mariner is not going to have her entire story be about how she doesn't think Boimler is too nerdy to get a girlfriend. That's a ****y thing for a friend to believe about you.

2. That Boimler and his girlfriend stay together at the end. I don't want her to a one off.

Edit:

0 for 2. That sucks.

This was really fun. I enjoyed all three storylines this week. The moon demolition had some great animation and a funny payoff at the end.

Lots of little details that will reward a rewatch, I think.

I gave that episode a 4

I was not a fan this week. This series is basically Star Trek references and not a very good story. I mean Mariner and Barb were mocking a guy who was unconscious on the floor in front of him. I liked the Trek references and we actually got a Flashback scene to Mariner (And the DS9 uniforms made a comeback) but other than that, there was not much I was excited about this week and I didn't laugh once. :(

I refuse to buy the premise of this episode. In the utopian future of Gene Roddenberry's Federation, nerds are sexy and Boimler should have no problem getting a hot girlfriend.

I felt like they needed a joke from Barb. "We should probably check on Brad. If he's out past 30 minutes, he's probably dead."

No opening is odd. The Parliament Class USS Vancouver looks great! Loved the maaaassive references to previous shows! The murder screaming ambassador is hilarious considering recent posts here XD
All in all, much better than last week.

And next week: NCC-502, apparently from TOS, where they had clamshell communicators, probably with a character from that time?!
