Hello! I just got home because I stayed an extra day and went to the Cirque du Soleil show "Love" which was totally awesome, BTW.
I am really sad that I didn't get to meet anyone except for Archerfan (who was a sweetheart).
Thank you for mentioning this Boushh and congrats to you and HR and all the video winners! I did win, not for this one but for the video they played right before the boys (Conner, Dom and Anthony) came onstage, "Heart Shaped Mirror." Dom was so funny, he said the video reminded him of "Desperate Starships".
I had sent in 2 videos because I didn't think the rules restricted the number of submissions. Adam had emailed me and asked me to choose one for the contest, so I chose the MU one. When they played "Hero" I was just flabbergasted. And before Scott!!! OMG, that was a dream come true. I don't think I could have had a more perfect day.
I am so sad I wasn't able to hook up with more of the people here. Maybe next year.

I don't think this was mentioned, so I wanted to add that I think Bak_and_Blue had her video played in front of Scott's appearance, which probably means she was a contest winner too. I thought I remembered seeing the video before and lo and behold here it is: Hero of the NX-01.
Hopefully she'll arrive and confirm this.

OH GOD the graininess. I bet every real photog in this forum is vomiting at this very moment. I don't know what happened to my camera over the last few months but some of my rock photos clearly show I used to be able to get good shots with that thing.
But hell if you like it why am I bitching?
Now I have to ask. (In Trip's poop question voice.)

I have no idea what I was thinking at the time--blame it on the Borg Sphere I'd been drinking. I think maybe that I wanted to preserve the memory of Quark's food but did it in the least aesthetic way possible
Bak_and_Blue, I was thinking earlier that you were probably the winner for the video in front of the boys! My memory started to come back and I remember Adam mentioned that you had won for an earlier video when he introduced the Hero one. Congrats!!
number6, It would have been fun to join all of you at Quarks. I had to catch a flight though. Boo.
I wish we could have had a big TrekBBS gathering, but it really seemed like this con was packed with stuff to do and everyone had different places to be...

I would have loved to have hung around but I still had to pack and get some sleep. 5 a.m. was going to come painfully early (and DID) and I had to be at the airport by 6.
Long ride home that was for sure. But not as bad a Hoshi's sis... turbulence over the Atlantic...

I could have gone a few more hours myself.. But we had to check into our hotel. We missed the last shuttle and had to take a cab.
We spent the next day walking around on the Strip the next day. Checked out the M&M Theme Store. Good Times.
I may have to do another convention someday soon. We were seriously considering the TrekCruise next year. Our last vacation (about a million years ago) was on a cruise ship and it was spectacular..

This is a little better. I took the noise out of the background but left his image unaltered to preserve detail.
EDIT: I just redid the original photo with a special noise filter I purchased for Photoshop. This filter seems to do much better than the noise filter included with Photoshop CS3. You might want to download it again.

Love your pictures! I was at that same luncheon, and saw Anthony running around with your jacket on! That was so cute! You and I also chatted in one of the photo op lines, I don't remember which one though.
