Maybe. . . but it sure doesn't explain that 94% critical approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, does it?

Uh huh. . . Including the most prominent reviewers in the country.. . but don't let that get in the way of all that righteous indignation you have going on there. . . A LOT more people like this film than didn't. . . Star Trek is no longer exclusively yours, and believe it or not, that is a good thing.

Only clueless if they happen to disagree with you? It was my understanding that the Rotten Tomatoes reviewers were a highly respected bunch.
Honestly, your negativity towards ST 2009 continues to amaze me. If I was so negative about a certain movie I'm sure I'd stop going to places that kept throwing it into my face. It's only gonna get worse, you know. I can't see that you'll be open to what JJ and Bad Robot will offer us with their sequel.
Luckily for me I've enjoyed most of what Desilu, Paramount, Filmation, Bad Robot and CBS have offered me by way of the ST franchise over the decades, I guess. But even the really bad bits have been, for me, interesting in their own way.

Jesus, why doesn't everyone just ignore Captain Robert April and the other butthurt, goal post shifting detractors? It's not like he's contributing anything besides going on like a broken record or trying to spread misinformation.
It's the same song and dance from him day after day, so it shouldn't come as a surprise. But he can't wait for the next movie so he can post about how much he hates it in advance, during and long after, because otherwise what else is he going to do with his time?
Also, you need to stop quoting him because that's the only way I see his posts.
No kidding. That's the really funny thing about this place. I understand hating the film or feeling that it an extremely poor adaptation of the TV show, I had the same feelings about that shitty looking I Spy remake they did a few years ago. So I just didn't watch it. Hell, I still haven't seen it because I think it looks stupid. I'm certainly not going to go watch it and then spend all of my free time discussing it!
