Star Trek Into Darkness Poster

Everyone sees London landmarks. Guess they decided to take advantage of Cumberbatch's "Sherlock" lineage.

What, no Bond?

I'm rooting for Cumberbatch as a British Gary Mitchell.

Too good not to be official. Ties into the synopsis... the bit I understood about it anyway.

Ooh, look! There's the Starfleet Delta.

Something's detonated it!

If you look at the source code for the website, there's code in it about a teaser and the IMAX "extended preview."

This would have been a great poster, had it not completely ripped off the dark knight concept

And the poster confirms: he's Gary Kahn for sure

The guy over at Trekmovie who seems to have seen the teaser reported that Cumberbatch (who voiced over most of it) seemed to be using his native accent (or whatever accent he's adopted heretofore as a British actor).

When I view the page on my phone it says "Star Trek Into Darkness Trailer & Official Movie Site May 2013" across the top, which it doesn't when viewed on a PC.

If you uncomment one of the divs in the source, a "Watch the Teaser" link appears in the in the upper left. It doesn't do anything. In the source, it has a YouTube url but it's just for the trailer to Star Trek 2009.

How many languages has the poster been prepped in? I've seen English and Russian editions so far...

London huh? (If we are to take the poster literally at face value).

I see the "Gherkin" -- or the Swiss Re Building/30 St Mary Axe.

EDIT TO ADD:
Are there other recognizable buildings on that poster besides what I think is London's "Gherkin"? -- possibly from different cities? (which may indicate to not take the poster literally).

Many thanks, M'Sharak.

One would think that Mexico would get the Spanish-language version of the movie title...

Also, good to see Horizon's glyph roster expanded into other writing systems at long last.

Also: how many languages will they need for South Africa to be properly covered?

Star Trekin' To Darkness

The only positive I can take from this poster is that Benedict Cumberbatch is on it.

In all honesty I wish they will release a new poster soon, there has been too many backlash about the poster looking like The Dark Knight's poster.
