I did have a question about Red from the last episode, what does a pilot like that do about the Star Fleet requirement to... what's that word?... notify, reveal... declare!?

I suppose in her case, her courtship style is so public that courtship and declaring are one and the same.

Red is completely honest and efficient. She discloses and courts in the same action. Which is why she wanted to meet Dolphin in the presence of the acting medical director and a command officer.

In a much later episode, she reveals why she legally changed her name to Red at age 7 - as a form of protest...
