Star Trek history divergence

So with all continuity from all the TV shows and all retconning from the literature accounted for, at this point, when did Star Trek history diverge from our timeline? For example, there were no eugenics wars in the 1990s, but was there an earlier point at which we could lament, 'Star Trek is not our future'?

Well, from the lack of Eugenics Wars, we can infer the genetic engineering experiments of the 1950s (based on Montalban's age in Space Seed) likely never occurred either.

We never had orbital nuclear weapon platforms in the late 1960s, and one of those non-existant platforms didn't explode 104 miles above the Earth after a failed launch.

And that episode was set in the same time that the show was being produced. So you can say "Star Trek was not our present, either."

I wonder if an alternate timeline from our own could have been caused by a few ferengi I remember going back in time and wreaking havoc? Might have split off there...
