Star Trek Halloween Costumes

So it's almost time to start looking for this year's Halloween costume, and I'm in need of some advice.

I was Uhura one year, I got the standard polyester red dress, nothing special, and a beehive wig. It honestly wasn't that fun. This year I want to be something different, a costume that maybe I have to make myself or put more work into (its about the process!!) I was thinking of being Jadzia, the Trill makeup would be fun but it's a boring Star Fleet costume, and then I thought Troi, but I can't find a decent trio costume anywhere! I need to think more out of the box. I'm pretty crafty, so don't hold back.

I was wondering if you guys had any ideas or suggestions...Or if anyone wants to post some fun Star Trek costumes they've worn in years past!!

Any inspiration will help!

A lot of work indeed! I don’t know how the super white paint would look on me though, since I’m so tan? I’m more of the complexion of the Klingons

I was trying to think of a cool Vulcan costume, t’pol maybe. I don’t know what I would wear though.

Yes!!! She is one I would definitely be interested in. I wonder if I would be able to find a female Klingon wig, something I could just blend in the hairline with some makeup. The costume wouldn’t be too difficult to recreate. I’m fairly good on the sewing machine.

I can’t find a decent costume. She really only wore the gray SF costume. Otherwise I would totally be Jadzia, the trill makeup looks like fun and wouldn’t require too much effort for a decent result.

I’m gonna try a bunch of these beforehand so I know which ones I can actually recreate

I've never worn a Star Trek costume.

We've been to tons of conventions, bought all kinds of crap, got autographs and pictures...but the costume is one line I've never crossed.

It gives me a false sense that I'm not as big of a nerd as I really am.

Haha that’s what I figured. I would do it for a convention or something but my too-cool-for-school friends would be asking me all night “who are you supposed to be again???”
