Star Trek: Foundations WIPs

If you don't mind a suggestion a couple of arm pockets with a verticle
opening either zippered or velcroed on the odu and Coveralls would be
helpful I know that my arm pockets on My Winter coats get a lot of use.
The new Combat Uniforms ACU that the military uses have them also.

I thought about it, but I haven't entirely made up my mind about it. I may stick them on the coveralls if nothing else.

Silver and gold...

With the larger shoulder pieces the rank insignia seem to get lost, what about having them on the front flat area that runs down the chest, sort of how the Army and Marines do on their Kevlar vests.

That wouldn't be visible from the back. Trust me, they're plenty visible, because that's the same size an placement of Air Force rank on flightsuits.

It would probably end up being about the same size, I just don't feel like measuring to see what the actual scale is. ;)

Anyway, someone suggested small sleeve pockets on both the coveralls and the ODUs. I ended up adding them to the coveralls, but I've opted to leave the ODUs alone.

And with the Physical Training Uniform, this pretty much wraps it up for UESPA as far as uniforms

I may draw up the service caps and the less formal "ball cap" that would be worn with the ODUs and the coveralls later on, but I've had about enough of UESPA for the time being.

Here's the official UESPA seal though, of which a patch version would be worn on the right shoulder of all but the PTUS, and jacket-less service dress. There's also a two-tone version of it on the shorts of the PTUs in case you were wondering what that was.

Very nice work on all of this, Captain X. I'm glad that you stuck with silver. What's next on the agenda if your done with UESPA for the moment?

I'll probably start on the UEM service dress. I'll probably do different versions with different color schemes to see what people think, though, so it'll probably take me a while. I have a lot of reading over the weekend too, unfortunately. :(

Well, this is what I have done so far on the UEM service dress. You can't see the shirt under the jacket very well, but they're based on the color schemes I listed before. So basically I'm going to list them below and ask everyone what they like best:

I didn't do one based on modern British colors, but that would basically be a V5, and Marine colors would be V6, and they'd all actually be pretty close. Anyway, as soon as I get a feel for what people think is cool I'll work on more of the details, like the different insignia.

I'd say the V3 with black pants, or you could flip the black and navy blue on V1. It'd probably look good to add a navy blue stripe down the sides of the legs in addition to the other V1 modifications I suggested.

Perhaps you could accent the top with silver piping down the middle and on the epaulets.

Out of your four depictions, I'll either agree with Space Cowboy on V3 with black pants, or just go with V2 the way you've presented it, since it has forward continuity consistency with the security uniforms for my 26th century fanfic stuff:

(Yes, it is cheesy - it's an edit I did of an image of the ST II - VI uniform that I found on the 'net back in '96. And it is supposed to have the front flap, like that uniform, but since it the line that shows it is black... ;) )

I could use some opinions on how the EX-01 is shaping out.

This is a slightly revised version from my first version, simplified so as to make it's Akira class resemblance, well, less of a resemblance. On the other hand, it's starting to look a bit less appealing to me, so I was curious what others thought before I go any further with this.

I actually like your first design a lot, but maybe I'm imagining what it would look like from the side differently than you intended. I'm seeing the primary hull as a flattened sphere - somewhere part-way in between the 1701 and the old Daedalus design. And I'm imagining the nacelles in line with the middle of that, and the secondary hull shaped as depicted on both top and bottom.

I wish I could draw better, but something like this:
