wasnt the enterprise also at red alert the whole way back from romulous to the fleet in NEM? isnt that an even longer journey then the one in FC?

I remember the novel just mentions that the battle starts in the Typhoon sector and then moves onto Earth with the fleet following the cube. It doesn't mention a time span though.

How many sectors were there between the Typhon Sector and Sol Sector? Sectors were said to be about 20 light-years across, if a ship like the Enterprise were able to maintain maximum warp, it could possibly cross that distance in half a day or so.
