star trek first contact blu ray copy any good?

Hi I was wondering if any here has watched the blu ray copy of first contact and could comment on whether it looked any good. The reason I am asking is I heard that it suffered from digital noise reduction, some Backgrounds often look static, the image on the whole appears rather listless and flat, and the film occasionally takes on a soft appearance and looks downright fuzzy in several places. does any one no these things are true? Also does it look better then the dvd copy?:borg:

Of the four TNG movies, I'd say "First Contact" and "Nemesis" look the best. The TNG films don't have nearly the problems that the TOS films have on bluray with DNR. I think you'll be very pleased with how "First Contact" looks (and sounds).

Is there any way to get "legal" digital copies of ANY of the Star Trek movies from the Blu-Ray sets? I would love to be able to watch them on my Ipad...

The Blu-Ray sets don't come with digital copies (although I suspect new releases will coincide with the next movie in 2013). Maybe you can download them from itunes?

I, like BillJ, have already purchased the Blu-Ray sets. And was a little surprised to see that there was no digital copies included or at least a code for a download from iTunes...
They leave me no legal alternative... So...

I have one more question. This may sound stupid but I dont have many blu ray disks so I was wondering if first contact on blu ray looks better then the dvd copy?

Depending on the size of the TV, it's a night and day difference.
