Star Trek Exhibition in Phila.

Is anyone going to the Star Trek Exhibition on Wednesday (8/19) to celebrate Gene Roddenberry's birthday? I planned my visit to the exhibition specifically for that date.

I was thinking making the 90 mile trip the Friday after that date. But I'm concerned about just how much is on display there considering the exhibits are split between Philadelphia and Detroit.

I'll let you know. The ads show the D bridge, a shuttle simulator, Khan's costume but that could be an ad used for all the stops.

I'd like to go, but the whole not having a car or money and living in Virginia thing is proving to be an obstacle.

At the Philadelphia exhibit there is a mockup of the Ent-D bridge, Engineering, and Sick Bay. Some original costumes are on display, a number of props, and Kirk's command chair which they are trying to pass off as the original (it isn't). Many of the props are replicas also. It is fun getting to look at the LCARS displays up close and finding the in-jokes. The shuttle simulator ride costs extra, as do photographs. Your own photography is not allowed.

Members of STARFLEET International who sign up in advance (go the Region 7's Yahoo page), can spend all day Saturday free if you are in uniform.

Has anyone heard what the next stop on the tour will be? I'm hoping for Boston.
