Star Trek Excalibur

GothTrek

Lieutenant Commander
Red Shirt
Back from the edge, Joe posted this on his site yesterday along with some new CG images of the ship: Star Trek Excalibur

"Hi everyone! I apologize for the amount of time since the last update.
Too much has happened (and not enough) since the destruction of our sets. My father passed away in August of of last year and on January 31st I suffered two small strokes. I am doing fine and on the mend and have not suffered any major damage to my brain (tho my wife asks how can I tell :)).
The Lawsuit over the destruction of our sets.
I received a letter from our Lawyer on Friday (2-22-08) stating that we had had finally been contacted by a lawyer for the other side (after they had failed to reply by a November deadline after our suit was published in the proper newspaper for one month and they were given 20 days to response or face the case being decide against them by a judge) Our judgment was 1 day from being filed when our Lawyer was contacted. We are now awaiting their lawyers response to our suit.
As soon as we hear something we will let everyone know.

Now for some GOOD NEWS.
Excalibur's opening credits are almost finished and will be previewed here soon!
The pilot's script is completed and is officially a shooting script
There will be a new Excalibur email address in the next week. Don't use any of the current ones are they are still down.
There are some roles that are needing to still be cast and a couple of parts that may require re-casting, so if you are interested please contact us as soon as the new email is ready
Once the lawsuit is settled we would like to ask for volunteers to join our crew. If you live in the southern Nevada area (or are willing to travel to Las Vegas) and would like to help out please email."

Woot!

I suppose I'll have to give Joseph a call and figure out if I'm still going to be in those credits. :: cheers ::

Certainly understandable that making a fanfilm got put on the back burner for so long with all that going on. This was one project I was really looking forward to, and it's so good to hear from them again! Hope they've had a major change of luck, and that we'll be seeing lots more from them in the near future! Thanks for the update!

I'm glad to see that they're still moving forward with it. The loss of the sets alone must have been devastating, but throw in the personal issues and it's a testament to their determination that they're still going ahead with it.
