Star Trek: Enterprise on SCI FI - Week 31 Ratings

Russ

Vice Admiral
Admiral
In its 31st week (8/6/2007), Star Trek: Enterprise peaked with a 0.9 household rating (up one-tenth from the week prior) and tied for 6th place on the network for the week. (SCI FI original series' ECW, Eureka and Flash Gordon led the week for SCI FI, with each earning a 1.5 rating). Looking at the network's other original series', Ghost Hunters had a 1.1 rating and Doctor Who had a 0.8 rating.

A few notes: Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis ended their seasons, which is why they aren't on the charts. Painkiller Jane wasn't on that week.

Also, the rating for Flash Gordon is for the series premiere. It was watched by 2.1 million viewers.

The four episodes which aired on that evening were: "Fallen Hero" (#23), "Desert Crossing" (#24), "Two Days and Two Nights" (#25) and "Carbon Creek" (#28).

Note: SCI FI Wire only posts the ratings for the highest rated episode among the four that aired, so the others got ratings slightly below the 0.9.

Here is the chart via SCI FI Wire (click to enlarge):

I believe "Carbon Creek" aired that week and the "Shockwave" 2 parter aired back to back the next week.

Thanks for noticing the mistake MattJC. I made the corrections above. I wasn't aware they aired that episode out of order.

Decent numbers for a Monday night rerun show on a channel like Sci-Fi.

Good to see First Contact up there too.

Keep up the good work, Russ. Always love stopping by to see how the old show is doing against some tough competition.

^ Far as I know, the show has dipped from its pilot, so I expect most people don't watch it now

Well, it is a cancelled network show in RERUNS on a basic cable channel. It's a tough sell to expect big numbers for a show like ENTERPRISE on a channel like Sci-Fi. It's not exactly the most popular and attractive entry in the TREK franchise whether one loves it or not.

Re: Star Trek: Enterprise on SCI FI - Week 32 Ratings

No sign of Russ this week. Only managed to glance at the ratings for Week 32 yesterday.

Enterprise got 1.1 and was halfway up the Top Ten. Didn't spot Doctor Who or any of the usual Sci Fi regulars. Some movies-of-the-week, with Wrestling on top as per usual.

Re: Star Trek: Enterprise on SCI FI - Week 32 Ratings

1 Eureka 1.6
2 ECW 1.5
3 Solar Attack 1.5

7 Meltdown 1.0
8 Freddy vs. Jason 1.0
9 The Hollow 1.0

Good improvements there... this calls for the ani!Trip boa-dance!

Does SciFi play reruns for the other Trek shows as well?

If we're gonna play the ratings game even at this late juncture, it would at least be interesting to see how the other shows compare. :)

Nope, just Enterprise. TOS is on in syndication and on TV LAnd IIRC and the other TReks are on SpikeTv.

Sci Fi also post a Top 10 for SF&F on Network TV every Friday. Jericho got 2.4, Heroes 2.0 and Smallville 1.3

I've often seen Star Trek Remastered premieres at 1.1. While it's not entirely fair to compare ENT to a 40 Year old show, surely the new FX hype evens the match considerably? At this stage, it's still hardcore fans tuning in to see what changes CBS have made. This figure has the potential to obtain more with a wider availability than a cable station like Sci Fi. But there's also a case for arguing scheduling, with TOS-R airing in a late night slot for some areas.

Sorry guys, I have no idea how I forgot to get the ratings for week 32. Actually, now that I think about it, I didn't see them listed and chalked it up to it being Labor Day.

It didn't register on Week 33 (0.8 or below), so that's why I didn't post for that week.

Working on the post for Week 34 right now (got a 1.0).

And since there is some Star Trek: TOS talk, I wrote an article for Anthony over at TrekMovie on the ratings for Star Trek: TOS in syndication. If anyone is interested, you can check it out at the following address:
