Star Trek Encyclopedia?

I hope you are, because I think your stuff is fantastic! Okay, I know I've gone on record as saying I wasn't a fan of "Greater Than The Sum" (apologies - and it's probably just because I'm not a huge fan of borg stories or big space battles), but Orion's Hounds, Over A Torrent Sea, and The Buried Age are 3 of my top 5 Trek lit (no, I haven't made an actual list). I'm sure it's a fluke, but you just so happen to write exactly what I'm looking for in a trek book - good, fun adventure, with detailed, believable science and "strange, new worlds."
Thanks so much! :bolian:

Thank you!

Yet, that has nothing to do with the fact that despite the websites of the Wookiepedia and others, there is brand new Stars Wars Encyclopedia, while the Star Trek Encyclopedia is touted as saying there isn't a need for one because of the Trek wiki sites. Another person said it was the extremely poor sales, which I believe, that led to no more Encyclopedia. It goes to show that Star Wars fans are more willing to pay for such quality items as the Star Wars Encyclopedia.

Anyways, there will be someone else who will ask the reason for no more updates of the Encyclopedia the will answer will be Trek fans don't like them.

^ It's not so much that "Star Wars fans are more willing to pay" as that there are way more Star Wars fans in the first place. Likely about the same percentage would pay for such a thing, but even given the existence of Wookieepedia, that percentage is high enough to justify the sales. It isn't for Trek. You make it sound like Trek fans are stingy when that isn't the case; there are just fewer of us.
