Star Trek DVD animated movies.

This idea was started in another thread but i wanted to expand on it. inspired by Marvel and DC, i think that one shot ST dvd's would be a great and inexpencive way to satisfy the craving for new star trek stories. i want to know if you would rent or buy them and also what kind of stories you would like to see? Adaptions of ST novels? new original stories of TOS,TNG,DS9,VOY,and ENT?, crossover stories between the the different series, a new all original cast? what would you like to see animated?

I would rent/buy it. But this is DOA. Paramount has no interest in lowering the Star Trek brand to the level of direct to dvd. Which is also something that has extensively been discussed in other threads.

I think AviTrek is correct in that brand dilution is not going to happen. Paramount wants good box office results with Trek XII and they are not going to allow any Trek film or video Blu-ray releases before 29 June 2012 other than Enterprise on Blu-ray.

That said to answer your question...just wishing I'd like to see TAS and comic book stories realized with CGI as discussed in
A Star trek CGI series thread.
