I know a great deal about quantum mechanics, evidently a great deal more than you do, which doesn't say much...
Hahaha this is superb! It has almost Trumpian overtones!

"Listen, I know a great deal about quantum mechanics. Evidently a great deal more than you do. Ask anyone, they'll tell you I know a lot about quantum mechanics. So there's no problem with my knowledge of quantum mechanics. Believe me!"

Well, "Heisenberg compensator" remains random bullshit. But most science is like that: a six-year old might have decided that superconductivity is due to the particles holding hands and maaaagick! but Cooper pairs are still a thing.

I have no problem believing that 100% of what we currently know of quantum mechanics is wrong. That is, it's fundamentally wrong, even though it works just fine as an approximation. And a surprising fraction of our current high tech works in the region where our fine approximations break down and a millennium of solid scientific knowledge becomes fundamentally misleading bullshit. A transporter might slip in there just fine, eventually, too.

How about the rest of my post?
