The starship Discovery approaches a class M planet called Shtregvrsald. On the viewscreen display's a field of grass, trees, bushes, ferns, shrubs, etc.
Tilly: The planet Shtregvrsald is inhabited, but there's not any people in this particular field. Why are we here, captain?
Burnham: There's something I want to say to the crew.
(Cricket): *Cricket cricket.*
Burnham: As captain, that makes me Discovery's leader. But I want you all to know this. Discovery is a team, and this team requires leadership from every member of the crew, in order to be successful.
Stamets: But captain, this is the military, aren't you supposed to tell us all what to do?
Burnham: What I'm telling you to do is to be a leader not just for yourself but for the whole crew.
Culber: I think what she's trying to say is that we all have to be leaders not just her.
(Cricket): *Hmm...*
Culber: There might be civilians around and in that case we can't have our ship setup like a game of Simon Says.
Reno: I think it would be funny if I got to tell people what to do instead of her.
Stamets: We can't just have one person telling everyone what to do.
Reno: Why not?
Stamets: Because if you tell someone to do the wrong thing and they mess up that means it'll be all your fault.
(Cricket): *leaps away*
Stamets: *shoots the cricket in midair with a phaser*
Stamets: And you wouldn't want it to be all your fault, now, would you?
(Cricket): *sizzling*
Burnham: So, we have an arrangement then, yes? We all have to be the leader together.
Tilly: You brought us here to tell us that? Why?
(Cricket): *underground cricket noises*
