star trek cross over with other t.v. show

I was thinking that humans couldn't have been out there exploring deep space and meeting alien races in 1999, but in the context of TOS history and rightfully discounting the Trek spinoffs, I guess there's nothing to preclude that.

But then the voyage of the Discovery One in the year 2001 shouldn't have been anything special.

The moon in Space: 1999 was hurtling uncontrollably into deep space. It passed through a black hole and later through a couple of "space warps" which pushed it even further out into the universe. The inhabitants of Moonbase Alpha had no contact with Earth whatsoever. So whatever explorations and first contacts with aliens they had remained unknown to Earth.

As for Discovery One I like the little design connection it has with the spherical primary hull of early warp ships like the Daedalus.

I was writing a thing in the 90s where I was working in Dr Who,Trek, Space:1999, and I don't remember what else. It was all possible because it was about destroyed and rewritten timelines. We'd have seen the Sp:99 characters in our real timeline, where we didn't build a moon base. And... the Borg demolish the Troughton Doctor and make him regenerate early, into Tom Baker...

I've written really bad fan fiction that joined together Lost in Space and Star Trek. However, I retconned Lost in Space heavily to where Jupiter 2 launched shortly before Cochran's flight in 2063. Pretty much all that survived from the show was the characters and ship. But those were really the only good part of the show.

The ,"Ishmael", published in the 80s combined Star Trek with the 60s western TV series, "Here Come the Brides." The funny thing is the series starred Mark Lenard.

Batman could have been interesting since Dick Grayson may have been an ancestor of Spock's mother, Amanda Grayson.

Of course, Doctor Who would be the one I think most people would like to see. The comic book showing this was pretty fun, if a bit silly.

And there was the Planet of the Apes crossover they did a year or so ago...

"Genesis II" I've wondered if Roddenberry didn't envision an organization akin to Pax existing on post-WW3 Earth and serving as the seed for Star Trek's more mature humanity I'd argue his Pax thinking shows in TNG's "notmilitary" Starfleet and the TMP Novelization's "New Human" Movement

Star Trek and Batman '66.
I have a feeling that this one might not be too far off in comic books. The IDW Trek comics have had a load of crossovers in the last few years (Planet of the Apes, Dr. Who, Green Lantern), and DC's Batman '66 has recently crossed over with other mid-60s shows The Green Hornet, The Man From U.N.C.L.E. and The Avengers (referred to as Steed and Peel on the covers for obvious reasons). I feel like a TOS/Batman crossover has to have occurred to someone by this point.

In my Youtube comic I'm crossing the TMP era with Babylon 5, Alien Nation, Alien, Predator, Buck Rogers, Farscape, the Black Hole, and Doctor Who. I'm sure I can squeeze in a few more before I finish if I can think of any that feasible. The Walking Dead probably needs its own story. Servelan would make a great villain though. I might use her in place of Hans Reinhardt. ;-P

Forbidden Planet should have been the model for Enterprise, a small cramped ship with limited capabilities and a minimum crew. It seemed that the technology on NX-01 was only a few decades behind 1701, instead of a century.

100% agreed. That's what I wish Enterprise was.

Planet of The Apes and Space 1999 could co-exist especially with Dodges comments about there being no moon in the sky in the year 3978 or was it 3955?

Star Trek and I Dream of Jeannie. When Kirk tries to put the move on Jeannie, she crosses her arms, blinks, and turns him into a warm, fuzzy, purring Tribble.
