Star Trek: Corps of Engineers?

(The best scene is the one where Tev tries to play Santa...)

Probably as soon as Margaret has five free seconds to devote to thinking about it.

Trade schedules tend to be a bit more fungible than keeping the trains running on time (read: keeping one MMPB a month on the shelves), so it's understandable that those might get a priority shift for a moment while the dust settles.

I must admit, I thought "fungible" had something to do with mold before I looked it up. Learned a new word today.

finished off 'have tech, will travel' and am done with both interphase stories.

regarding interphase, the first thing that jumps out that hasnt really happened much, at least not in my reading, is the alternate version circumstance. being the defiant tale here, and also having watched 'in a mirror, darkly'. i love the characters, i'm trying to remember which ep stevens was in. they figure to have a believeable backstory that works with their situation, except for lense. i dont buy that she would end up on a ship of only 40, when there are more pure science vessels out there, especially since the dominion war is finally over. but circumstances bring people together, and brought her to the da vinci.

the naming of soloman seems very goldenesque and appropriate, love the singular bynar story. too bad vale had to go, it was good to see 'early vale'.

i just ordered books 3-8 of the series, so i'm committed, it'll be a fun ride i'm sure.

^ Lense's backstory, and her reasons for being on a small ship, are covered in Oaths (ebook # 16, in the 4th paperback).

I am aware that Pocket Books cancelled their original eBook production, but is there any chance of CoE coming back to print? I know the omnibuses (omnibi?) are still printing, but it's just sad that CoE got cancelled :(...

I was thinking about posting the exact same thing recently. To all of the writers that who have contributed to the Corp of Engineers stories, and to Krad and those who came up with concept.....you have really done a nice job.

It is probably the best example of what how much Star Trek in print has expanded from the on screen material. I know watching any number of episodes brings a certain amount of enjoyment. The CoE stories have to rank up with a lot of the episodes. They are just so well done.

I'm currently on the last story of AFTERMATH, and can't believe how much I have enjoyed all of the stories. The characters from on screen trek have been developed very well, and the new characters have been really fun. One of the high points of the series was WILDFIRE, which was just awesome.

Can't say enough good things about it.
