All six shows were just added this morning! Great news!

Once Netflix began hunting down proxies, it was a pain in the ass trying to watch all of the shows.

Possibly a hint for where the new series will be airing in Europe?

:) I saw that and came here to post it in the "No Trek in Australia Netflix " thread...It's the first time any live action Trek other than TNG, has been licensed to a non US Netflix division.

Enjoy it all UK & Ireland fans. :)

Happy Canada Day!

:)

TNG used to be the only Trek on Netflix Canada, now it's the only one missing. Movie wise, only the TNG films are available.

Don't think we needed a completely separate thread about what countries have Trek on Netflix...moved it to this one.

Just got tipped off - it's fantastic, I have all the DVDs and Blus but since my kids kicked me out of my living room I mostly watch my shows on my PC on Netflix etc!

Odd bit of business for Netflix in the U.S.--All of the TV series are available for streaming (including TAS), but I just noticed today that they took down all of the Trek films except First Contact...and that must be very recent, because I'm pretty sure that I just noticed one of them on there only few days ago.

Studios sell packages of their older films, on a non exclusive basis, to multiple outlets, usually with timed "windows", or availability periods attached. One service gets the films for several months, then they rotate off allowing another service to run them (stream them) before returning. All of the Trek films-save for FC as you've noticed, expired from Netflix July 1,. They are now being shown on Amazon Prime.

This isn't new, or something specific to Netflix. Pay tv channels have been operating this way for decades. But you never notice it because a channel programs a schedule, and they can run titles repeatedly during a quarter, and when they remove a heavily repeated title, you're relieved to stop running across the same batch of films whenever you check your pay channel's program guide. :)

Only things available in Netflix Finland: Star Trek (2009) and Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.
Because that makes sense.
