Star Trek by Alan Dean Foster

This is good news. The Vonda McIntyre novelizations were good but Foster's stories were excellent.

RT.

Of course, the only reason this happened is because JJ insisted on having someone who also wrote Star Wars novels. You heard it here first. ;)

^I knew there was a conspiracy! :p

First, JJ gets Burtt to do the sound FX, then he hires Alan Dean Foster to do the novelisation!

He's turning Trek into Wars, people! Run for the hills! Won't someone please think of the canon? :)

I'm really looking forward to being able to compare Alan's novelization with the previous ten. I have high hopes for this being the best Trek novelization to date, and being every bit as entertaining as the movie itself.

I'm also hoping that ADF will have the liberty to insert material and scenes that didn't make it into the final cut, things that Orci and Kurtzman may impart that they had in mind when they wrote the screenplay.
