Star Trek Books FAQ Mega-Update!

^ yours is still the first name on that list, it's probably the only name most people will bother to read. :)

Michael, you're still twice as important as everyone else in my book, no matter what the TrekBBS's fascistic moderators say or how they censor me.

I've updated the FAQ to the present day, but I'm not sure what to do with it. I don't have the skills of formatting that Steve Mollmann has, so it doesn't have the handy table of contents and other shiny things. Steve, if I PMed it to you, would it be a lot of work for you to add that stuff in? Or should I post what I've done even if it isn't as handy to navigate...

What I've done is just update all the answers to include information from the most recent upcoming schedule we've been given. I haven't added any new questions, or taken out any that may no longer be relevant.

Go ahead and PM it to me, sure. Mods, can you guys still edit old posts, or would I need to create a whole new thread again?

yeah, we can still edit.

but, weren't there certain new questions people want to put into the FAQ? if we update, we should ask for inputs of what goes in, what can come out, instead of just updating the old questions.

My tuppence worth - is it worth waiting for Destiny Book III to hit stores before updating, bearing in mind all that's already been released about its ongoing effect on the 24th Century books?

Q. Where are my nonfiction books?
A. Nonfiction sales have been abysmally down for Pocket's Star Trek books recently; their last big effort, Star Charts, apparently sold very poorly despite being the coolest book ever. There have been a few books recently-- Fall/Winter 2006 saw the release of two projects, Voyages of Imagination: The Star Trek Fiction Companion (a guide to the prose fiction) and Ships of the Line (a collection of pretty starship pictures). A couple guides are slated for 2008 as well: Captain Kirk's Guide to Women and Star Trek 101.
For non fiction books coming out near the end of this year, unless this thread is only about Pocket Books, you also need to add Krause Publication/Steve Kelley's new "Star Trek The Collectibles" book due out the end of Sept - beginning of Oct 2008:

Book cover.

Sorry about that. Didn't realize that using a link to my own book would violate anything here. I didn't know that, but now I do :)

The issue isn't with the image itself, but rather where the image is hosted, in his case, Amazon.
