Spoilers STAR TREK BEYOND

One other thing as I think about it, I was a little startled when the Enterprise's warp effect on screen was in the opposite direction as it was shown in commercials or the trailer.
I figured we'd see it going the other way eventually, but that never happened. I guess because they wanted to establish the visual of right to left travel as shown for the rest of the movie. Where Enterprise flies left to get to Yorktown, then the nebula was largely to the left of Yorktown, then once through the nebula, the planet was to the left, etc.

My other quibble is we didn't get Kirk's log, the audio of which was in the 3rd trailer 'This is my . . . last report as . . . Captain of the Enterprise' as he was ejected from the saucer.

That would have added more gravitas to that scene.
It seems a number of strong moments from the trailers didn't make it into the movie, which I think is a shame.

Also, Kirk didn't say we're a family and we're not leaving anyone behind when asked by Jaylah what he thought about the plan to free the crew.

He just said I think we stand a better chance with her involved.

The first concept art appears:

The movie as is, is the first Star Trek movie where no Klingons are mentioned, shown or implied. Quite interesting considering that all previous films had something related with them, either an appearance, Worf or a ship!

I love the new aliens and drones. The Into Darkness Klingons were great, but I really think the 5-year mission needed something new. This a great positive for Beyond in my opinion. Refreshing to see.

What a great poster (slightly similar to Trek III bob peak, with elements of Prometheus and GOTG) FAR superior to the floatingheads/motorbike International one
