Spoilers STAR TREK BEYOND

Is Zoe Saldana doing something else that prevented from making it to London? I was kind of surprised to see the actress we haven't really even heard about there, but no Zoe.

I suppose Lydia Wilson would be an obvious candidate for a London appearance because she's from there. As for Zoe Saldana's absence, I'm thinking back to the promotion tour for the 2009 movie, and I don't think everyone made every single appearance then, either. Possibly she had a prior commitment for that date.

Three new TV Spots. My favorite one is the "We Change" one.

The audio is messed up on the first two. Running 8 to 10 seconds longer than the time listed.

She did. She was working yesterday the whole day, registering some voiceover or dubbing for one of her movies I think. It sucks she couldn't go because it would have been nice to have the whole cast (but Anton :( )
It isn't the same without her.

I'm thinking Guardians of the Galaxy 2 just wrapped in Atlanta after a 4 month shoot. Could be doing ADR for that or just want a break.

I have a friend who attended the London premiere and here is his FB comment:

So Star Trek Beyond!
The good: it's slick and smart story, solid performances, amazing special effects, very much in line with the fun and sense of adventure of the original show (more so than the first two JJ movies).

The bad: Not a particularity deep or thoughtful story as many Trek fans might like. Like the other two JJ movies I felt it lacked 'a message.' There are some great character moments but I feel at times too much focus was on the action. It appears now that star trek movies are in their teens, the curse has changed so that even number movies are (10 and 12) are lackluster and the odd numbered movies (11 and 13) seem to be the better ones.

Overall I liked it and would see it again.

Seriously? Nobody from London had a comment or two for us?
I'm in Cambridge and ALMOST took the train down to see the white carpet.........but I have to go to Star Wars Celebration Friday.........and I am lazy.

One thing I understand from reviews is that, duh, they are subjective. I read comments to get an idea but I know that some things are up to personal taste and perception and it's absolutely fine.
Even some of the stuff I read here in the spoiler Q&A thread by the one who watched the movie in Australia say some things that, for example, I found being contradicted a bit by other fans who have a different perception.
In general, I feel like I really can't wait to watch it myself.
