Shatners looking very fit/younger promoting his new book (almost like a slightly older version of his Trek VI self and that was 1991!)
I just wonder if hes looking his best because hes filmed an extended cameo for STB?

There will be another trailer, I hope we'll see who Idris Elba plays. He might be Dr Daystrom, but I want to see his role in the plot of the film.

Thanks. This has gotten more interesting. I saw that pic before, but I dismissed it thinking it was a Reman from St:Nemesis. Now, looking at it again I see the make up is different.

I haven't heard much, if any, noise about Star Trek Beyond. Is it because the first trailer was a disappointment? Because it's still too far away? Because compared to the constant Star Wars drum roll, everything else pales in comparison? Or some other fourth thing?

The movie's still about 5 months out. The drum will start beating heavily soon. What we've seen, though, has been generally positive, except from the usual corners of the fandom.

Also, yeah, nothing was going to really get through the juggernaut that was Star Wars: The Force Awakens. So a few words here and there, some articles, interviews, a teaser trailer, this was the best choice of action they could take. I'd imagine now that TFA is winding down, winding up for Beyond will begin soon.

Idris is an awesome actor, I love his part in Luther and I hope he becomes the next OO7, he's on a roll with film roles right now and I look forward to seeing what he does in STB. Speaking of make up, I like the look from Kirk's love interest in the film.

It was a bit of a small coup that Trek landed him for a nice, big role. I can't wait to see him do what he does best (which is be awesome). :D
