Spoilers STAR TREK BEYOND

Well, that German dude will not get 1,000 followers in less than a day, when only less than 20 followed him in the last four hours.

Guess we have to wait a bit longer for an international version without abysmal dubbing by the Germans.

There is a link to the leaked German trailer on the Twitter account.
I'm not adding a link since I don't know if that's allowed.

My German is terrible, so I have no idea what anyone is saying but my thoughts:
The trailer is very action oriented. But it is clear we are exploring a new planet, so this should satisfy our "boldly going" quota.

I'm a bit bugged by planet "Desaturation"

It is clear why the villains are called the swarm

Some questionable transporter physics there…

Motorcycle on an alien planet?

I don't need to understand German to guess what McCoy is saying after Spock is beamed away :p

I'm not sure how I feel about it. It's very action-oriented.

I can't imagine why the trailer of a summer movie that is debuting before Star Wars would be action-oriented? ;)

A couple of comments:
The use of "Sabotage" is actually set up at the beginning of the trailer. It's integrated.

Also, looks like Bye-Bye Enterprise.

Looks like the Enterprise (somehow) crash lands on some planet and the crew is either kept prisoner or enslaved or something. Perhaps the Enterprise is now caught up in a war between two species or something. Sofia's character, from the outset, seems to be a good guy.

I get why the trailer was edited that way but I miss the intrigue and build-up of the first trailer for the '09 movie or even the suspense and build-up of the first trailer for Into Darkness. This was just balls-to-the-wall action from start to finish.

But alas, whatever. I'm judging based on a minute worth of footage (without it in context) and without English, but this just seems more of the same. As someone that didn't like Into Darkness at all, it's frustrating but I'm not writing the movie off just yet.

Maybe it's just poor marketing.

My two penneth;

It looks fun, entertaining and action packed. What more do you want?

Choice of music is better than Inception pwwwwannng trailers we get nowadays!

looks good but after Into Darkness I'm sceptical - plus there are at least half a dozen indie Trek projects I could name that excite me more

Not to mention a new series in the works

just watched it. awful dubbing as usual. but the 'dialogue' between Bones and Spock was hilarious. Bones:'At least I'm not dying alone' ...Spock beams away

Here's a translation for anyone interested...

Scotty: Ist das Musik?
Is that music?

Kirk: Ist ein guter Song.
It's a good song.

Scotty: Toll, lauter machen!
Great, turn it up!

Kirk: Wir haben kein Schiff. Keine Mannschaft. Wie kommen wir da wieder raus?
We have no ship. no crew. How do we get out of this?

Spock: Wir werden Hoffnung finden. Im Unmöglichen.
We will find hope. In the impossible.

Bones: Verdammt. Wenigstens sterbe ich nicht allein.
Dammit. At least I'm not going to die alone.

Bones: Schön, ist ja wieder mal typisch.
Nice, that's typical.

Scotty: Hoffentlich gibt es kein böses Ende!
I hope this won't end badly.

Villain: Hier beginnt es, Captain.
Here it begins, Captain.

Villain: Hier schlagen die unendlichen Weiten zurück.
Here the final frontier will strike back.

Kirk: Verdammt was ist das?
Dammit, what's that?

Sofia: Ich weiß wieso wir hier sind. Wieso wir alle hier sind.
I know why we're here. Why we're all here.

Kirk: Okay. Das machen wir nicht noch mal.
Okay, we'll never do that again.

I've got to say: German synchronization is sometimes very different from the original. Especially when it comes to Star Trek. The original series has been redubbed at least 3 times...
