Spoilers STAR TREK BEYOND

Release STB in July.

Re-release Treks 2346 on the big screen limited release throughout the month of September?

"Star Trek" aired at 8:30 ET on that Thursday, September 8, 1966. Coincidentally, September 8, 2016 is also a Thursday. On that day, encourage theaters in the U.S. to have only one showing of the movie, and make it at 8:30 (7:30 Central, and Mountain, and 8:30 PT -- or whenever the show came on for the first time in each time zone). Have it in IMAX where possible, but charge "regular" prices for this night.

No one is going to see a two month old movie that they've already seen at 8:30 on a Thursday night.

Then I'll have the theater to myself. :p

Killjoy.

It's just a gimmick, Clyde. A quaint little thought. If I could come up with real promotions, I wouldn't be posting here on a Saturday evening.

I've been trying to figure out when the STID teaser came out in relation to its release date, but am coming up empty. I figure that'd be a good way to get a ballpark on when the STB teaser will be seen.

Is Spock gonna bleed a lot?

If they've moved the release date back in order to score slots in IMAX theaters, that's probably only going to be for two or three weeks in late July/early August. Maybe they could bump it into IMAX again for a special anniversary event running the first week of September?

That plus a commemorative cup for my drink would probably be the most effective strategy for 8 Sept.

Or he's only going to bleed a little, but they anticipate doing a number of takes of the scene, and don't want to run out.

Are we sure that's T-negative?
You have to filter out the human elements.

I wonder if that's what they did when Spock donated blood to Sarek in "Journey to Babel"? (I think that was the episode title.) Did they filter out human elements? It's been a while since I watched the ep, so I can't remember if there was any dialogue that accounted for that. I would figure that if there were human elements, they'd actually need a new classification for Spock's blood type. :)

well, Quinto shared that pic over instagram where he spotted vulcan green blood on his hand. I guess Spock gets injured, even if little.

this article says that next week the cast will move to Dubai to film the rest of the movie there

http://gulfnews.com/leisure/movies/n...week-1.1587245
It’s finally happening. The crew of the USS Enterprise will land in Dubai next week to star filming Star Trek Beyond, the third instalment in the reboot series of the science fiction action movie. Get ready to spot actors Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, John Cho, Anton Yelchin and Idris Elba will join writer and actor Simon Pegg and director Justin Lin as they film across the city.
While little is known about the top secret filming schedule, industry sources tell tabloid! a major chunk of the movie will be filmed here. Auditions for extras and crew members were held last month.

Yesterday Zoe Saldana also made a post over twitter where she said that her Star Trek shoot has ending and she's packing to leave Vancouver and get back to home.. to which some asked 'so soon? you aren't going to Dubai with the rest of the cast?' because the article above doesn't mention her either, but then she made the same post over her facebook page too where she specified "my Star Trek shoot has ending... at least here in Vancouver". So maybe the one that wrote the article simply forgot to mention the existence of actresses too in the cast beside the guys (if Boutella plays an alien, like I understand she does, I guess it's likely she will move to Dubai as well since it seems that they'll film 'alien city' scenes there and, they say, a big part of the movie..)

anyway, it seems that filming is in a good point, right?
not really at the end but closer...
