Duh. Ape City's in Queens, on the other side of Loris Park.

so do you guys want Beyond to end on a cliffhanger or do you think they should tie up everything nicely in a neat little bow? cause i'm hoping for a trek 4.

Although there's been no official talk of a 4th yet, I am hoping for one too (if this one is any good, that is!). But I am not a fan of cliffhanger endings for movies. It would be cool if they found a way to explore the repercussions of 3 in 4, something akin to TSFS following TWOK.

Apparently filming starts Thursday at Vancouver Film Studios according to the DGA of Canada. (It is filming under the code name "Washington.")

I mean, there's no movie! No budget! No script! No movie! Nevermind the fact that it's looking more and more likely that it's happening! NO MOVIE I TELL YOU!!!!!

This alternate interpretation of what we're seeing is actually quite epic.

1 actor spotted not all. Not on set and not using the hairstyles in the movies.
The director possibly looking at the sets as they just lost the venue, looking for ways on how they can transport it.

Yep, they just lost the venue and are scrambling to relocate the sets they've built! Everything else is Bad Robot misinformation!!

That said, one aspect I really want to talk about is the teaser poster. I loved the simple teaser for '09. The old fashioned Starfleet insignia on modern synthetic fabric. That teaser told you everything about the movie you need to know in such a perfectly simple way. The teaser poster for ID kept the Starfleet insignia shape and I hope so does the teaser poster for Beyond. It would be a pity if they decide to change that theme

Could just be a starfield with a lightly colored delta shield on it. Or if this involves some sort of spatial anomaly, the same idea but with whatever the anomaly is in the shape of the delta.

But with Lin, it could be a nacelle and seven silhouettes in the distance.

More info is coming my way, bad robot has secured private funds to shoot for a week in the hope the movie will be granted a budget. Paramount has said they not changing their mind and if bad robot wants to continue it will be without support and will be released as a fan film

Is this what we'll have to deal with for three months of shooting?

Also, the actors are in Vancouver shooting... publicity photos... per Jake.

How exciting to see all these updates! It's like one moment you don't see anything happening and the next all these updates start mushrooming out. Can't wait for more!

I really don't understand what he stands to gain doing this? In service of the truth? Financial gain? Personal satisfaction? I just can't see how anyone could find it worthwhile to do this unless they genuinely believe it to be the truth.
