Aaaagh! Terrible!
Also, with the talk in interviews of NuTrek finally exploring strange new worlds, it's unlikely the plot would drag everyone back to square one and imperil the Earth yet again.
I think it's extremely unlikely the magic blood will be a plot point. Apart from anything else, I think it's too obscure a piece of continuity to base a mainstream sequel on. It will be swept under the carpet (and maybe jokingly mentioned by Bones). So essentially, I think Kirk is going to be the one to cause Elba's character to go all "end-of-the-world" bad guy due to side effects from Khan's blood.
We don't know this. And since we know Elba's character is part of a new alien race
Kirk is the central character, and he has to be heroic. They got away with Kirk being a jerk in STID, but having him go nuts and attack civilians would lose all audience sympathy.it would make sense that the "twist" he speaks of is Kirk going crazy and attacking or destroying his people, causing Elba to retaliate by doing the same to Kirk's home - Earth.

They are seriously predicting that Khan will be back and somehow working with the heroes, on Earth? It sounds like someone really did not want STID to end.Spock and Bones' - they will be spending a lot of time together, after all, which leads me to believe that Kirk has to have gone rogue and that the two will be doing everything in their power to save him (even working with Khan and the other 72 enhanced to fix him)
"The original series" and "Search for Spock" are not the same thing, being separated by almost 20 years. I think the general feeling among both fans and producers is that, in retrospect, reviving Khan for STID was a continuity nod too far. The new movie should be able to stand up without an overt, "meta" correspondence to a previous iconic storyline. Finally, with the 50th anniversary approaching and Pegg stating he will be paying homage to the original series in this upcoming third installment, it makes sense that the "Search For Spock" would turn into a "Search For Kirk" kind of story
