Star Trek Beyond predictions?

I do not know if they will ignore the stories in the IDW comics, because until the film's release, almost three years will have passed since the five year mission Began.
We'll see Captain Kirk of the original series? Or we will see an inexperienced captain?
They will be in deep space with no Starfleet outpost in the region?
If the Enterprise is damaged as they will repair?
There will be more of a Starfleet vessel in the region?
There are many unanswered questions. There is little data available.

My bet is that Kirk will poke his nose into alien conflict, as usual. Taking the side of the planet's good guys, Sofia and her people.
And he finds out that another Federation starship went through there years ago providing technology to Elba or which has crashed at planet and Elba took its technology.

I predict certain elements of fandom are going to get completely bent out of shape over some weird and irrelevant shit that no one else takes seriously. Like that guy a few years ago making such a big deal over the Kelvin's registry starting with a zero.

Whatever happened to him anyway?

Yeah, that guy was a real schmuck. ;) But at least he wasn't trying to convince me that Andrew Probert's version of the Enterprise-C was the "real" version.

Although the Probert design does look a lot cooler.

I predict that a certain argument shall be resurrected, many many diagrams shall be created and many many explanations given to no avail.

You know what I mean King Daniel. :-)

I've been wondering if anyone's gonna try figuring out the size of those saucers from the snippets built:rommie:

Ok you all twisted my arm:p

Here's the 289m TOS Enterprise in Dubai's Central Park, compared to what's been built. The build looks much smaller to me - not that that really means much in a world of movie magic and camera trickery, it can always still be the classic Enterprise or similar, cos no-one but us 0.001% of superfans will care enough to measure the massive saucer to see if it's massive enough.

I predict it will be better then Into Darkness. Of course since Into Darkness is my least favorite Trek film that won't be hard.

If we're really lucky it will be revealed that Khan's blood being able to revive the dead was part of a dream Kirk had after a drunken binge at the post victory over Khan party along with Kirk's death.

It might be better then 2009 but that would be harder since 2009 is mid-range on my order of liking the Trek films.

And hopefully this time whoever they are fighting won't have a ship that can disable Enterprise in a salvo or two because the whole Enterprise getting disabled then sending a landing party to the enemy ship or Enterprise only engaging the enemy vessel after an Enterprise boarding party has sabotaged the enemy craft thing got boring fast IMO.

I predict we will see R2D2 walking around the Dubai "alien" city as a Easter Eggs.

Sorry for the late reply been away at interview etc.

That would correspond to about the size of the nx class saucer, which would explain the aged and damaged look.

Could be Robert April's Enterprise but may be a bit too small for that, I am not sure Simon Pegg would go there story wise.

As you say scale when filmed is not that important if it's just for a few scenes, the full ship may not even be saucer shaped at all, it does look suspiciously Federation in design though.

Too small a piece to really say for sure.

You never know it could be a new type of portaloo. :)

I would have been ok with it if the Enterprise had crashed and they had captured and renamed the Vengeance instead.

All I got when I posted that after I had seen the film was a horrified silence.

Tough crowd. ;)

Still never mind it's off topic.

He over in the Enterprise forum making a big deal about the NX-01's registry starting with a zero.

My prediction is that there will be a scene with all the hero crew walking side by side toward the camera while behind them is smoke/flames/explosions.

Oh, and they'll be walking in slow motion.

.

Oh, you're such a pessimist.

I predict the Enterprise crew will be caught up in adventures on an exotic alien planet, and Chris Pine will teach Sofia Boutella about this Earth thing called "love". The fact that she's a creepy white-faced alien will just make it hotter.

I also predict I will think it's "pretty good".
