Star Trek Beyond ONE YEAR COUNTDOWN!

Not open for further replies.
Just found out Brannon Braga and I share the same birthday -- August 14th. Also, he was two years younger than me when he began writing for TNG. Wow. What am I even doing with my life?

333 days until Star Trek Beyond. 333 days until there is more cinematic Trek in our lives. Three is a powerful number in many cultures. There are three threes here. That's powerful.

Karl Urban was going to be at this week's convention to represent nuTrek, but had to cancel at the last second. I wonder why? Probably related to shooting Beyond, no doubt, but I wonder what might have transpired.

Hell, Galacticon 4 ended up shitting the bed by shitcanning some 20+ celebs....many from the recent Galactica series.... beforehand. Other celebs, not even involved in Galactica, had canceled their own appearance in solidarity.

Page 333 of Star Trek: Titan #5: Over a Torrent Sea by Christopher L. Bennett

(Not sure if that page will show for everyone, nor if I should have been able to view it, it being in an ebook. Perhaps some number of pages are view-able for free.)

Great characterizations, Chris.

It's on Google Books. As long as it's one of the pages included in the preview ("by permission of Simon and Schuster," according to the note in the sidebar) it should be viewable by everyone.

Just popping in to check on the countdown. I'm really glad that it happened to be such a cool day...333 :)

I am super excited. Less (much less!) than a year until we get to see brand new Trek.

WooHoo!! :D

Sorry, I kinda skimmed the thread (="I skimmed the thread") but has the countdown been corrected to account for 2016 being a leap year? As next February has 29 days, the countdown should have started at 366.

Everyone shoot the messenger!

I had asked that question before, and nobody cared :(

I care! But it happens...threads scroll, posts accumulate, Bridges get smashed, Computers go inoperative! Point is, "...they knew!!! But they did nothing!"

Wow, from Star Trek to Independance Day in one sentence!

"Maybe someone who's had a little less coffee."

(Hey, I had to get an "Armageddon" line in there, didn't I?)

332 (pending review)

332 weeks ago, Patrick Stewart, Levar Burton, Gates McFadden, Michael Dorn, Wil Wheaton, Denise Crosby, Marina Sirtis, Brent Spiner, and Jonathan Frakes, reunited in voice on an episode of Family Guy, entitled, “Not All Dogs Go To Heaven.”

No, no, no. This is day 333. A special day. I refuse this leap year thing today. Tomorrow can be 331, but today is 333.

So there. :D

I used an online date countdown calculator to double-check before initially posting, so it's as accurate as that is. I can't imagine someone would make something like that and forget to compensate for leap years... I hope.

-332 (I think)

...or not.

In TNG's "The Pegasus", Riker's first ship (the Pegasus, NCC 53847) believed destroyed by a warp core breech, was really found by the Romulans, and hidden inside asteroid gamma 601, near Asteroid 331.

<cocks gun> You were saying...?

;)

331[?]

The USS Donitz (NCC-331) was a 23rd century Federation starship, an Okinawa-class frigate in Starfleet service in the 2280s. The Donitz was outfitted as an FF-type frigate, the original modification of the Okinawa series vessels. (TOS video game: Starfleet Command)

No history or fate is established for this vessel as its name was randomly selected for a frigate vessel by the game software.
