Anybody remember this game? I had it on my old computer before it died and I haven't played it in years. I recently bought a new computer with Windows Vista, and thought I would try it out. Wouldn't you know, the darn game actually works on Vista !! I love this game... especially the multiplayer mode.

I love the original Armada, its still one of my favourite games of all time. I just wish they'd make an Armada 3 far more like the first than that horrible sequel, just updated graphics.

I liked Armada 2 for the fact that it had actual resource management and the whole planet thing, but the 3D RTS combat? Oh, God, kill me now.

Best star trek game...EVER...and far better than ARMADA 2

I liked both - Armada 2 took me ages to get into - but again, I don't really like change (I'm on Windows Xp - but classic mode!)

I never liked the graphics are Armada two...and ships were so, well, hyper when just hanging around waiting...

Yeah trying to control a fleet of 16 seriously spazzing starships wasn't fun.

Armada was a nice surprise when I picked it up for a few dollars and first played it on a K6-III. Still have the CD of course. It gives annoying audio glitches on my XP system that I wasn't able to resolve.

Funny thing is, Armada 2 goes for $100 on ebay these days due to rarity, even though nearly everyone says the original was much better.

Yeah..I saw that too...they really should do a ARMADA 3, and really just update #1 with new graphics. Somethings are good, and just need tweeking. Armada was one of those.

I proposed this a little up the page but I'll take this as another vote for an Armada 1 Version 2.0.

I'm sorry to see them shut down the servers. Though I do have a pristine copy of Armada 2...hehe.

I forgot - the cutscenes and overall plot of Armada1 were very good - I loved seeing Locutus of Borg again! The video trailer of Armada 1 was also great fun - the defiant flying in bewteen the dorsal and ventral wings of a Romulan Warbird was great fun!

And the Borg Cube dropping out of Transwarp directly in front of the Enterprise complete with a little fleet surrounding it. That was awesome.

The original Armada was pretty good--at least, there hadn't been a Trek game in that vein before, and they did it competently.

I'd love to see a Trek game with Homeworld-style gameplay, though. A true 3D environment.

Aw, I loved Armada! I played it for months before I ever got bored with it. I'd love to try an updated version.

I was terribly disappointed with Armada 2, however.
