With the fins at the front of the hull it looks like a stealth transport concept plane called Speed Agile. I like how the hull looks in the big picture, but I'm wondering if the nacelle at the back will look too small (but maybe it's just the angle and distance.) The length of 100 m is a bit hard to accept by looking at the picture, so you might have to resort to the usual doors and window hints.

The rear field emitter will look too small with a 22 mm camera lens, but look alright with a 100 mm lens.

I'm fine with you finding the lack of scale determination unacceptable. My goal is to move science fiction forward regardless of the aesthetic advanced technology concludes.

I'm not saying that the lack of scale determination is unacceptable, I'm just saying my simple, hippie-era trekkie brain needs to see things like telephone booths and picnic tables to understand how big something is! But this is an interesting ship, so I'd like to see more.

It's too much speculation for me. Science fiction should have science in it. I agree, the words like p-brane, Higgs field, are real and they exist, but they are used without the science behind it.

Star Trek, by nature of its broader scope, has more fantasy than Star Wars.

Sorry if my comment was to rude. I did not mean insult your work. I just wanted to say my opinion. I think everybody should do what they want, and not listen to other people. In fact, when I think about it, I should not have made that comment.

Can you tell me more about your statement that Star Trek has more fantasy elements than Star Wars, because I have watched Star Trek and Star Wars and just can't imagine Star Trek ever using fantasy elements?

No, I didn't find it rude.

Oh, lets see, mediating a matter antimatter reaction with a magic crystal, no requirement for a receiver when transporting-- like answering a phone call without the phone, subspace phenomenon can do anything, time dilation is bothersome, so we'll ignore it, time travel, and on and on.

But my point is that because Trek has so much more material than SW, canonwise, more fantasy has been introduced to support plots. Just use some odd form of energy out of phase and that will solve the problem, and don't forget to tack "iso-" onto words to make it sound futuristic and technical. Oh, and your genetic code has been altered and you've turned into another species, but this medicine will correct that in a few minutes. I'm going to stop now before I carry on for the rest of the day.

You don't really need a receiver for transport if the transporter uses what is effectively an electromagnetic straw to make certain the pattern re-integration takes place at the designated target. Said straw is then what makes certain re-integration occurs at all.

Hey, what do you know I read the manual when it first came out. Still got that dog-eared old thing.

How do you make an electromagnetic straw? Subspace right? Yeah...the magic of subspace. It's like the Force.

And just to be clear, the whole p-brane power generation is pure bunk, too. Absolute fantasy. My thoughts were, if we have M/A reactions, what's the next thing beyond that?

Actually, subspace concept is scientifically plausible. In string theory there are 11 dimensions and it's said that gravity may be acting from some other dimension. Because gravity is much much weaker that the rest of the forces (weak, strong and EM force) scientists proposed that gravity may be acting mostly in some other dimension and we feel some small part of it that "leaks" across dimensions. So subspace might just be the rest of the dimensions (11-4 that we can interact with).

Now that may sound stupid, but hey, even Special relativity is weird, quantum physics even weirder. String theory is crazy.

The extra dimensions are also theorized to be compacted (furled) into very small spaces.

Yes, they are supposed to be very small compared to our 3 dimensions, but who knows what would happen if you could transfer your spaceship from our 3 dimensions into 3 of those smaller dimensions. Maybe even mass would be different, maybe even non existent. So with a bit of speculation based on real science you can get interesting results. You can put it this way: Warp drive shifts spaceship to other 3 dimensions where particles doesn't have mass. And that 3 dimensions is what they call subspace. And that is what they do on Star Trek.

Few years back when scientists believed that neutrinos travel faster than light (that proved to be measurement error) they said if it's correct, neutrinos must be traveling through some other dimension.
