Star Trek Aftershow?

I am wondering how it would work with various Trek series. These days many shows have an aftershow on YT on other video sites where people(friends) talk about the latest EPs. I wonder how that would work with TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY & ENT. The stuff that get the most views are pseudo YT celebs or people working in and around Hollywood in entertainment journalism.

The latest EP of X serious just aired, fans/journalist talk about it, would this have helped or hurt the shows? Mix in the internet the way it is now with social media.

ETA: For all the ST series I honestly had no where to turn to in discussing what happened. No one I knew claimed to be a fan and even in the mid-late 90's the internet was kinda hard for me to navigate.

I wouldn't have thought it would work until I saw a few episodes of "Talking Dead" that air after The Walking Dead. That show is a lot of fun - and I think it would be the same for Trek.

I think it would be only work if the actors actually enjoyed working on Star Trek. Given how much brouhaha gets made about the TOS actors not being able to get along, and how there seemed to be whispers of bad blood behind the scenes of DS9 and Voyager, I don't know that it'd work for any of them. The TNG guys loved working together, so I could see this kind of show being done with TNG.

Chris Hardwick does a great job on those shows. I'm hoping he does one for the last half-season of Mad Men, they could call it Talking Mad, of course.
