Star Trek 4 concept art thread

Section 31 will not result in the death of mirror universe stories. That clunked off on its own, without having much to do with...well...anything, really. I would sooner think that people were soured on the unresolved fate of the 'real' Lorca.
In a rational universe, all previous sequels to "Mirror, Mirror" would lead to the death of Mirror Universe stories.

Thanks very much for posting these images, Daniel.

Regard the 2018 ST4 Enterprise concept, I like it for what it is, but I really don't care for the "double barrel" warp nacelles at all. And I don't care for the deflector dish being reduced to a vertical slit.

I'll stick with Hargreaves Enterprise-A. As people said, it was already established at the end of Beyond anyway and it looks closer to the original Enterprise (both TV and film) than this new concept.

I also, like others here, really like Hargreaves take on the bridge. It is definitely more open. I also thought that the bridge used in Abrams films was a bit too busy for my taste, so this one looks better.

Hargreaves seems, to me, to have looked at what Church did with the first two Kelvin films and then tried to extend it new ways. I really liked what he came up with in Beyond for the Franklin and the Enterprise-A. I think it's such a shame that his Ent-A will most probably never ever be seen beyond it's cameo at the end of Beyond.

And there has never been a model of it, has there. Eaglemoss wasn't able to secur the rights to sell it as Paramount said that it might very well be changed for the next film, which, we know now, won't be happening.

Imagine not even being able to commit to it for the next film.
Part of me does like the idea of movies in loose continuity with the same actors but the ship set and costume designs changing between each one.

Just going with whatever the director wants. I imagine if Harve Bennett had the kind of budget the Kelvin movies got, Wrath of Khan's ships and sets would have been quite a bit different than TMP with the lights turned down.

Any Vengeance concepts that were rejected for “Into Darkness?”
Tons. Loads here: https://www.thetrekcollective.com/2013/09/into-darkness-deleted-scenes-displays.html?m=1
I've seen more, either in the Art of the Kelvin Timeline book or maybe one of the Eaglemoss Starships ones.

Kinda surprised there was never one with three nacelles, but I guess the brief for the artists was "big, evil, black Enterprise" rather than "that ship from the old Star Fleet Tech Manual"
