Star Trek 4 concept art thread

I think this stuff is worth it's own thread. Unfortunately, in England Imgur is blocked so I'll use tumblr and links where possible.

The Star Trek 4 Enterprise, concept 1, as well as a Bird of Prey that could be Klingon or Romulan (Ed Natividad):

Funny the bridge is pretty much same as movies 1-3 when the Enterprise herself is completely changed from Star Trek Beyond and unlike anything else in the Kelvin Universe.

Alien designs (Carlos Huante) for Star Trek Into Oblivion, which became Star Trek Beyond:

I'm sure more art will appear soon!

This is a great thread, IMO!

Talk about an intriguing ‘what could have been’ for the fourth Kelvin movie… I love that 4-nacelled Enterprise concept - which does indeed have a vengeance / Enterprise-A mash-up about it - as well as Phase-2 vibes…

The Kelvin timeline is one of my all-time fav Trek settings, and one I love finding out as much about, even the stuff that never eventuated…

[sigh!]

I like the Enterprise concepts, excepting the four nacelle thing. Really interesting stuff. I'll have a closer look before commenting again. Thanks for sharing!

I like that weird flowy Bird of Prey, with a profile that somehow more suggests “coiled-up-Octopus of Prey”. Sort of want to imagine that on each side, it’s a sort of programmable nanotech thing like the “draggable hole” in Into Darkness, and the cannon can move around the looping wing to change or focus its aim.

That Enterprise-A bridge concept is absolutely gorgeous. I like how much more room it appears to be and all the cluttering monitors from the previous bridge seem to be gone, leaving it more open.

Regarding the second concept of the Enteprise, with the orangey bussards, the lower saucer sensor ‘bulge’ appears to sit forward within the saucer shaped, off-centre, rather than being directly below the saucer centre vertical axis (if that makes sense).

It's the same in the 4-nacelled version too, albeit hidden by the camera angles more. Swap those 4 TOS nacelles for 2 boxy Discovery-style ones, centre that lower dome and that design is pretty decent.

That Enterprise-A concept is intriguing, though the nacelles feel kinda tacked-on. They don't flow with the rest of the design.

maybe that was the idea: "we have to launch withing six hours, but the actual warp nacelles won't be here until tuesday, so we need to adapt whatever's lying around the shipyard!"

something about it makes me think of some concept for the D i saw...

always thought double-nacelle mounts looked silly.
