Star Trek 2017 in Canada

Only Killjoys and Dr. Who.
And The Last Ship, or at least it was during the first two seasons. Haven't had to watch the current one online yet, though the commercials do indicate you can watch it online. I would be very surprised if Dark Matter wasn't also. I don't watch that show, so I don't know for certain.

But I would be very surprised if Discovery wasn't available to watch on their websites. That's kind of a bog standard for all shows on any channel, as it allows those who can't catch it on TV to watch it in a manner which still supports the channel. If Space really isn't going to have this show on their website, they're giving the middle-finger to anyone who can't watch the show live and encouraging the audience to consider alternatives.

Crave having exclusive streaming rights is not the same thing as Space won't have the show online. Presumably the hook for Crave is that you don't have to put up with commercial breaks and can watch the season whole, since they're waiting until after its done. When Space has episodes online, they still have commercial breaks (which are rigged so you can't fast-forward through them) and the episodes only stay available for a few weeks.

Space has confirmed that Star Trek Discovery will not be hosted on their website. The plan is Discovery will air the same day episodes are uploaded to CBS All Access in the US. Each episode will be repeated several times during the week on Space but not uploaded onto their site. So if you have the Space channel but cannot watch the initial broadcast you can catch a rerun or PVR it. Discovery will be available to stream on Crave AFTER the entire season has been aired on Space.

Blame Bell, they own Space and Crave.

Yup this is blatant business move by Bell. People are cutting the cord in Canada at a high rate and the major companies (Rogers, Bell and Shaw) are doing everything they can to stop this trend. Also by airing Discovery on Space, they'll make more advertising revenue from the commercials than they would by just uploading the show onto Crave.

It sucks for people like me who out of principal have cut the cord with the big players and I'm not willing to go back, even for Star Trek. I was willing to spend $8 a month for a crave membership but now I won't. I don't want to but there are other ways to watch the show online.

I already had both Space and Crave since before this announcement, so the problem doesn't really apply to me, but I can see how it can be a problem for others.

Where? I've looked at the announcement article, and their Facebook page, and can't see that specific statement made anywhere. Could you post a link with the portion stating this quoted in your post?

Netflix no longer works with VPNs.
This is the problem I’ve faced a month ago. I’ve been using my vpn service for two years and never had complaints. It was the best decision for me providing great speed and performance results at a law price. Unfortunately, netflix has detected this vpn and made me unable to watch series within the USA. Now I’m looking for the new service and choosing between these 5 vpns https://www.bestvpnrating.com/vpnrating/best-vpns-netflix. Have you ever tried one of them to watch netflix? Many thanks in advance!
